✅ How to Enable Live Translated Captions in Microsoft Teams
1. During a Meeting (Desktop App)
- Click on More actions (⋯) in the meeting toolbar.
- Select Language and speech > Turn on live captions.
- To translate captions, go to Caption settings > Spoken language and choose the language being spoken.
- Then, enable the "Translate to" toggle
- Then select the language you want the captions translated into.
2. Using AI Interpreter (Teams with Copilot)
- If your organization uses Microsoft 365 Copilot, you can enable the AI Interpreter for real-time spoken translation. Currently the suported languages are:
- Chinese (Mandarine)
- English
- French
- German
- Italian,
- Japanese
- Korean
- Portuguese
- Spanish
🛠️ Settings for Always-On Captions
- Go to Settings > Accessibility in the Teams app.

🧠 Additional Tips
- Captions are not saved by default. To keep a record, turn on transcription.
- Profanity filtering is available in caption settings.
